Out of the blue, I got a call for an interview on Wednesday morning! Whoo-hoo! I'm still rather confused as I have no record of ever sending a resume to this company and the name doesn't even ring a bell! Thankfully the lady I spoke with was gracious. Guess what their business is. They are an international importer, distributor, wholesaler, and processor for seafood and fish! Isn't that hilarious? Those who know me well would know that this is even funnier because I really don't like seafood! Fish is ok, but those hard shelled, gotta-scoop-it-out-yourself things make me squirm. Once, on accident, I ate a bite of squid in a cold salad (thought it was pasta) when in Hawaii. It was so chewy and weird. My dad noticed the look on my face and asked what was wrong. When I told him, he said, "Oh, that's calamari." I said, "Cala-who?" He replied, "Squid." I immediately spit it out and tried to wipe my tongue with a dry napkin!!! This will be interesting!!
The lady was very nice and it actually sounds like a nice set up with a very small office. It's an administrative position. So we would appreciate your prayers for wisdom. Thanks!
It's a pretty Saturday here in Portland, and opportunity awaits us! Not sure what our travels will find today......

We will be praying! I'm right there with ya on the whole seafood thing. Although, oddly enough, I don't mind calamari (if it's deepfried!)
Sounds like a good opportunity,Karen, I hope the interview goes well for you. It could be a good opportunity to learn a whole new business. Maybe you will *acquire* a taste for some new life forms. :)
Haha...your squid story made me giggle! NO WONDER you don't like seafood! Cold squid on a salad! Ick!! :P That's enough to turn anyone off seafood! hehe. Deep fried is good, though! ;) Will pray for you and your interview!! Keep us posted! Love ya!
