This morning Scott reminded me that it was exactly 2 months ago today that we left Ohio to head to Portland. Wow. That really is hard to believe. In many ways it feels as though we've been here for quite some time. Admittedly, this has been a whirlwind few months, as well as those preceding July.
We've survived many challenges and our faith has been strengthened. We've been stretched beyond what we thought we could handle, and have also received blessings of major proportion. Blessings beyond what we could even ask or image. But that's just another glimpse into the character of God--just like the Father He is, giving to His children.
With plenty of new students on campus, we no longer feel like the "newbies." We are getting to know many students, as well as their spouses. It's pretty cool to know that some of the folks you meet are from places as far away as New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, and Uganda.
Many more adventures await us....

I can't believe you guys have been there 3 months already. We celebrated all the October birthdays recently. Everyone was there except you guys. We miss you. I have been talking with Dad about coming out there and he says he wants to do that, so that gives him something to look forward too. He is really down in the dumps with the anniversary of mom's death coming, to the point he is talking nonsense about disappearing and never coming back. I am glad he at least has somthing to look forward to in the future, since he has not been in that area before, that gives him double something to look forward to. Hope all is going well with you Scott with school (Greek) and you Karen, with the new job. You must be busy because I see there has not been a blog on here in a while. Hope you get this.
